PUBLICNOTICE

The Town of Carrollton plans to file a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Application to provide funding for a new sidewalk. A portion of this project consists of 750 linear feet of ADA compliant sidewalk, 5 ft. in width and adjacent to the west side of Center Park Road. This section of sidewalk begins immediately south of the Carrollton R-VII High School facility and traverses along the east side of the city park to 6th street. Along the north side of 6th street, there is 548 linear feet of ADA compliant sidewalk, 5 ft. in width that traverses along the south side of the city park. The west end of the sidewalk, adjacent to 6th street, will connect to MoDot STP-9900(546) that was completed in 2009. Another section consists of 400 linear feet of 5 ft. wide sidewalk and starts at the northeast corner of Center Park and 6th Streets and traverses along 6th Street, then northeast along the access road to Carrollton Cove Aquatic Center. This section includes a pedestrian bridge located at the northeast corner of Center Park and 6th Streets. TAP projects are coordinated through the Missouri Department of Transportation and funded by the Federal Highway Administration. The purpose of the project is to provide for pedestrian safety along these routes as there is no existing sidewalk.

Individuals and organizations wishing to comment on the project may submit their feedback to the Town in the following ways.
